Premier Cruz – A Mountain Cabernet Experience

Join the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association at House Family Vineyards in Saratoga for an exclusive dinner paired with Cabernet Sauvignon. The evening will begin with a wine reception, during which guests can bid on wine lots as part of a silent auction, and sample new releases as well as rare and older vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon & Bordeaux varietals produced from the Santa Cruz Mountains American Viticulture Area (AVA). Don’t miss our Harvest Lunch and Barrel Tasting at the winery. Enjoy the aromas of fresh fruit and fermentation underway that complement the seasonal wine making activities. Winemaker Norm Yost will provide the edutainment while guests sip on 2017 barrel samples and a few library wines. Norm, cellar master André Baltazar, winery dog Cooper and I invite you to get creative, blend your own Pinot Noir and be playful. Highway 46 West Wineries Harvest Block Party

Join the 46 West Wineries Association for the Harvest Block Party, on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 6:30-9pm at Dark Star Cellars, located just off of Highway 46 West at 2985 Anderson Road in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country.

The Harvest Block Party is a wine tasting with the member wineries of the 46 West in a casual ‘mini-wine festival’ atmosphere, along with great food and rockin’ live music. Dance the night away to The Sound Effect Band, all for $55 per person! This is one of the more popular events on the Central Coast and should not be missed. Vineyard Hike at AVV

Get an insider’s view exploring Alexander Valley Vineyards while tasting the wines where our grapes grow. After the hike, taste from the barrel in our cave and then relax and take in the views with a wine country boxed picnic lunch (vegan & gluten free options available). This is an easy walking tour, but there are hills and dirt trails. Reservations and 48 hour notice required. Allow 2 to 2 1/5 hours for complete tour and lunch.

Visit Alexander Valley Vineyards and learn about our barrel aging program. You’ll tour our working cave, taste young wines from the barrel and learn about valley namesake – Cyrus Alexander, the Wetzel family history, our estate vineyards and production methods – including our commitment to sustainable farming. Please note: Groups of 10 or more require reservations $15 per person. This is a 15-20 minute tour.

Experience the 2018 harvest season at Alexander Valley Vineyards. Harvest Boot Camp

Please join us for our annual Harvest Boot Camp – Start the morning with an in-depth vineyard tour and the opportunity to try your hand at picking grapes. Follow the freshly harvested grapes to the winery and learn about our winemaking practices as the grapes start the journey to becoming wine. Sample future vintages before they have even been bottled. Includes an al fresco lunch with Trefethen wines under the canopy of the ancient walnut tree in Katie’s Acre.

The Wine Maker Charter — MJA Vineyards

The 70-foot luxury yacht Chardonnay II features a different local winery every Friday evening, April through September. Drink in stunning views of the California coastline, meet the wine makers and entice your palate with delicious appetizers. Guests can learn about local wines and the art of wine making. FOXEN Library Wine Weekend

Celebrate California Wine Month at FOXEN!
September 22 and 23, join us at FOXEN’s tasting room for rare library wine flights of our Burgundy and Rhône-style wines before heading to our historic tasting shack (aka foxen 7200) for equally rare library wine flights of our limited-production Bordeaux and Italian-style wines. As an added treat, we will feature live music and a food truck at the FOXEN’s tasting room on Saturday afternoon, September 22.

15th Annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop
