Join us as we celebrate our 42nd Annual Barrel Tasting wine event! This is your chance to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the beautiful Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.

It’s all about the WINE…many wineries offer “futures” on their barrel samples. This is a chance to purchase wine now, often at a discount, then come back to the winery when the wine is bottled, typically 12-18 months from now. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is your only chance to purchase them.

The final selections stun the table. Master Sommelier Dustin Wilson brings the winning wines to Jancis, Steven and Fred in Paris. Like the 1976 Judgment of Paris, could the results have the same revolutionary effect and be the next ‘vinous shot’ heard round the world?

At the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival you will learn how a holistic approach to farming along with biodiversity are crucial components to healthy and sustainable vineyards that will grow and produce for 60+ years, in this Master Class led by Ivo Jeramaz. You will also see how a myriad of living organisms work together to circumvent one of the biggest challenges in grape growing – preventing diseases and maintaining soil health.

The competition will focus exclusively on the needs of on premise establishments such as bars, restaurants, lounges and clubs, making this competition fundamentally different from any other wine competition within the U.S.
The goal of the Sommeliers Choice Awards is simple: to provide experienced on premise buyers and sommeliers a valuable benchmark for understanding which wines would make a compelling addition to a wine list.

The Lodi Appellation is quickly becoming one of California’s most dynamic and exciting winegrowing regions. Innovation and experimentation are flourishing as young winemakers descend upon this historic region to discover over 100 grape varieties growing in commercial production. This experimentation is leading to an incredible diversity and quality of wines being made. This session will test the taster – 8 exotic Lodi wines will be served blind. Attendees will challenge their tasting memory to guess the variety. Prizes will be awarded for best guessers or those willing to try.
