To honor the 50th Earth Day, Alpha Omega winery in Rutherford and the Alpha Omega Collective in downtown Napa are offering for the entire month of April 2020, a case of Alpha Omega Chardonnay Napa Valley 2015 for $50 per bottle (regular price $84 per bottle), a vintage selected to mark the year Alpha Omega began construction on its groundbreaking microgrid system that became the largest commercial microgrid system in all of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s 70,000-square-mile service area in northern and central California. The 400 kilowatt (kW) solar and 580 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery microgrid system includes a first-of-its kind, fully integrated solar and battery facility back-up power system, encompasses solar power generation, energy storage and demand management.
