Exotic Wines of Lodi Blind Taste Challenge

The Lodi Appellation is quickly becoming one of California’s most dynamic and exciting winegrowing regions. Innovation and experimentation are flourishing as young winemakers descend upon this historic region to discover over 100 grape varieties growing in commercial production. This experimentation is leading to an incredible diversity and quality of wines being made. This session will test the taster – 8 exotic Lodi wines will be served blind. Attendees will challenge their tasting memory to guess the variety. Prizes will be awarded for best guessers or those willing to try.

Mike Morse and Tom Banigan share the front-man duties and play guitar and bass, respectively Chris Helt is the percussionist and sings Cyrus Morici plays lead guitar The band takes an unapologetic approach to recreating classic hits by many legendary artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Cream, David Bowie, and Tom Petty to name a few Yes, the band does play some Zeppelin too!

Santa Barbara-based singer/songwriter Will Breman’s style is as eclectic as his background His musical upbringing began with voice lessons from his mother and teaching himself guitar Since then, Will has tried everything from screaming in metal bands to serenading at coffee shops, and most recently playing banjo in bluegrass groups and touring across the nation Will’s live performance has evolved over the years, and he currently uses a technique called “live looping” – a process where he records and plays back multiple instrument parts in real time, creating a “one man band” effect

Dulcie Taylor learned a hard music lesson at an early age – don’t leave your ukulele unattended in a porch chair at the beach Some clueless teenager can sit on it and smash it to bits The demise of her ukulele was a tough moment for ten-year-old Dulcie but that Christmas her Mother bought her a guitar and Taylor’s lifelong love of singing and songwriting began In hindsight, a grown-up Taylor sees the smashed ukulele as something of a blessing in disguise…after all, she has shared the stage with a long and impressive list of artists, including Jerry Lee Lewis.

September 28 – Katie Fritzke is a multi-faceted vocalist based in Santa Barbara, California. Known for her incredible four-octave range and honest, soulful phrasing, Katie has a broad repertoire ranging from Jazz standards, to R&B, pop.

Please join us for our annual Harvest Boot Camp – Start the morning with an in-depth vineyard tour and the opportunity to try your hand at picking grapes. Library Wine Weekend at Dutton Goldfield

The 45th annual Gravenstein Apple Fair

45th annual Gravenstein Apple Fair will be held on August 11 and 12 in Ragle Ranch Park, Sebastopol. Enjoy a weekend of old-fashioned fun! There’s something for everyone, with live music on two stages, arts & crafts vendors, contests/activities, excellent local food, craft beer, cider, & wine. There will be numerous engaging venues, including the Children’s Corner, Artisan Tasting Lounge, Do-It-Yourself Arena, and Life on the Farm.
